All-Star Boot Camp

We've got more than two dozen of the top journalists in New Mexico confirmed for our Jan. 22 event. In addition to the publications featured last year, we're adding folks from the Santa Fe New Mexican, KOB-TV and Albuquerque the Magazine.

In a day or two, we will post the tentative lineup of sessions, but expect the following:

• Smart editing
• Feature writing/Interviewing
• Source development
• Political reporting
• Meet the Photo Desk
• Multimedia/Backpack reporting
• Investigations/Documents w/Sarah Welsh of FOG

Plus, on Sunday we'll tackle cutline writing, sports and a second round of page design.

And our lunchtime feature on Saturday will be a roundtable discussion of the State of Journalism in New Mexico, with the return of last year's keynote speaker M.E. Sprengelmeyer; Gwyneth Doland of the recently departed New Mexico Independent; and another guest to be named.
